Iran-backed Houthis attack innocent civilians in Yemen's Al-Bayda

Iran-backed Houthis stormed part of the village of Hankat Al-Masoud in Qifa Rad'a, in Al-Bayda Governorate, after attacking and besieging it for several days. Local sources told the Khabar Agency.

The militia stormed part of the village, with their snipers taking positions on the minarets of mosques, in addition to reinforcing their elements with heavy weapons and equipment. The sources said.

Houthis stormed the Al-Khasha area in Hankat Al-Masoud after intense clashes with the local residents.

The confrontations resulted in the death of Houthi leader Ammar Hussein Ahmed Ismail Al-Bahri, known as (Abu Zaid), the commander of the Houthi campaign affiliated with the special forces of the central military region led by the notorious Abdulkhaliq Al-Houthi, and the serious injury of leader Mohammed Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the director of criminal investigations in Al-Bayda.

The militia launched a violent attack on the village using various heavy weapons, including drones, while facing the residents with their personal firearms, amid the abandonment of the legitimate Yemeni government of its responsibilities towards the population suffering under the militia's control. The sources added.

US ambassador to Yemen, Steven Fagin, strongly condemned the Houthi attacks targeting innocent civilians in Al-Bayda Governorate.

"We strongly condemn the Houthi attacks on innocent civilians in Al-Bayda governate. The deaths, injuries, and wrongful detentions of innocent Yemenis perpetrated by Houthi terrorists are depriving the Yemeni people of peace and a brighter future". Fagin said.
