Yemen: Joint Forces Intelligence busts another spy cell linked to the Iran-backed Houthis

The General Intelligence Division of the Yeme's National Resistance (Joint Forces) have brought down another spy network that was involved in espionage for the so-called Houthi "security and intelligence".

The military media of the joint forces said in a statement that the cell includes four members.

The members of the busted cell admitted, in their confessions, that they had been recruited among the joint forces by Houthi leaders to monitor the movements of the forces, and carry out assassinations with explosive devices. According to the statement.

The joint forces distributed a video containing the confessions of the Houthi spy cell.

In their confessions, they confirmed their involvement in espionage and the transfer of information to the Houthi militia from within their military brigades in the joint forces before they were arrested by the General Intelligence Division of the National Resistance.

The discovery of the cell is among seven cells recently unveiled by the joint forces, including three Houthi maritime smuggling cells from the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas to the ports of Hodeidah under the supervision of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and four cells of espionage, intelligence and implementation of terrorist activities that were overthrown and busted by the security services and the Coast Guard forces, in coordination with the General Intelligence Division of the National Resistance.
